Topic: Write a letter to the editor suggesting ways to stop students from illegally downloading music.

Dear Editor,
I am writing to express my concerns about downloading music illegally.
In the past few years, computers have become much cheaper than before and more people are able to get access to the Internet.  This information superhighway provides much convenience for us.  Some students may even download up-to-date software, music and movies without paying any money!  However, do they realise the fact that such behavior is infringing the intellectual property and it is illegal?  In response, I am going to suggest some ways to stop the situation from deteriorating.
It is patently obvious that the schools have to educate the students and inculcate them with correct values towards intellectual property by means of talks and workshops.  By doing so, students can develop a correct attitude towards using the Internet.
Apart from education, the music companies could also set up their own websites and provide music downloading services.  Students download music from the Internet because of convenience.  They can get music files through those online downloading services by paying a small charge.  On the one hand, they can enjoy the music legally.  On the other hand, the music companies can maintain their interest and source of income.  This is certainly a win-win situation!
Furthermore, students should behave themselves and stop downloading music illegally.  They should abide by the law and use genuine products.
By and large, it is essential for everyone to be a law-abiding person, and respect and protect intellectual property.  Therefore, I urge all readers, students included, to stop downloading music and software illegally.

Yours faithfully,
Chris Wong
