Hello everyone. Welcome to my blog! First of all, I would like to apologise for not updating my blog for a long time as I’ve just started my hectic school life. Despite my busy schedule, I’ve just finished a 5 day trip to Beijing with my classmates and teachers. It’s really an amazing trip. Let me share my experiences with you.
There are many attractive tourist spots in Beijing. The Great Wall of China is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. That’s why visiting the Great Wall was our first stop in the itinerary of the trip. The Great Wall was enormous and it was built by a large number of people and stones a long time ago. While standing on the Great Wall, I was amazed to think about how people in the past had the ability to build such a magnificent structure. Also, the landscape there is stunning and breath-taking. Of course, I wouldn’t miss the chance. I took a lot of amazing landscape photos there.
The Forbidden City is another must-go attraction sport. Although I had seen the forbidden city in movies and documentaries, it was my first time actually standing there, so I was thrilled to bits. There were many historical items in the Forbidden City. They impressed me so much! Those buildings are full of the essence of Chinese culture with a lot of golden red collar because the Chinese believed that those colours represent wealth, health and good fortune. One early morning during our trip, we went to Tiananmen Square to watch the flag raising ceremony. I felt that the flag raising we saw there was quite different from how we saw at school. Tiananmen Square is such a huge and solemn place. Now, I realise why it would be a landmark of Beijing.
The street snacks are always my cup of tea. Beijing street snacks hadn’t disappointed me; they were scrumptious and made my mouth water. I still remembered how juicy those lamb skewers were and how yummy the steaming hot buns were. The street snacks in Beijing streets were absolutely unforgettable.
