Hi, everybody! My name is Maple and I am only three months old. I was a rubber born in a big stationery factory in Korea. My master used plastic to make my body and a stripe of colorful paper for my clothes. I am happy because of my beautiful appearance.
After two weeks, I was bought by my new master, an artist. He drew many beautiful pen-drawing pictures and used me all the time! Although I was getting smaller and not that white and clean anymore, I was still happy that I could help my master to draw excellent pictures.
But, one day, someone stole me from my master! He was my master’s son. He stole me from my master’s drawing box and put me into his pencil case. Oh! It was narrow and dirty, but I met a lot of friends there! They were pencil, ball pen, red pen and glue. They told me their experiences and I was happy to stay there. Because my body was getting smaller, my new master used a pair of scissors to cut my clothes and rubbed me hard. It hurt me a lot, but I was still glad that I could help him to correct his mistakes.
After one day, my master bought a more beautiful rubber and threw me into a rubbish bin. At that time, I was already a grey and small rubber. I was so upset and I hated the rubbish bin a lot! It was awful! Who would save me?
Luckily, three days later, a little girl picked me from the rubbish bin. I could see the sunshine again. But the girl’s family was very poor. They even couldn’t buy a lamp! When the girl went back home, she cut me into pieces and threw me into fire for lighting. Oh! It was extremely painful. But I didn’t cry. I smiled happily. It was because I had done my ‘job assigned’ already! I had used my whole life to help others: help them to draw pictures, help them to correct mistakes, and even use my last moment to help them for lighting up…
My life is wonderful!
