Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to lodge a complaint about the concerning problems of this centre and the poor manners of the assistant manager.
One of the problems is from the aerobics class. The conditions of this room are certainly unpleasant. It is not spacious enough and we were cramped together, bumping into each other. Besides, the mirror is shattered and your employees did not not bother to fix it. Instead, they simply stuck some tape on it. Equipment and facilities were disorganized and all over the place. For example, there were multiple dumbbells and sweaty clothes randomly scattered on the ground, and a broken CD player that cannot play any music. Even the instructor did a terrible job. She is not even that fit, and the aerobics she taught are too easy. It was a disaster.
Speaking of disasters, I want to address some problems regarding the snack bar. The hygiene is extremely poor and unappetizing. There were greasy stains on the counter table that had not been cleaned for days, and random used dishes on the sides, giving off a smelly odour and toppled chairs and broken tables. The assistant was even sleeping when I was trying to order my food. I had to repeat my order several times and he still gave me the wrong one. Also, is this not a fitness centre? Why would there be people selling unhealthy fast food such as hamburgers, French fries and soft drinks? I do not understand why having a fastfood restaurant with a fitness centre, which could mislead others and contradict the purpose of supporting people to keep healthy and fit, is a good idea in the first place.
Last but definitely not least, I must talk about the inappropriate manners of the assistant manager, Mr. Tang. When I complained about the above problems, he said that my complaints were not their problem. Instead they were mine. He said the food is healthy because there are fruits and vegetables in it even though the proportion of them is very little. He said I should be exercising instead of sitting in the snack bar and looking for problems to complain about. He did not reflect at all but he shifted the responsibility onto me, saying that I should go to another centre. His impoliteness is outrageous and unacceptable.
I expect to receive a full explanation and a refund of my membership fees. Or else I will contact the Consumer Council. Thank you for your attention.
Yours faithfully,
Chris Wong
