I am a clever pencil case. Inside me, there live many sorts of stationery, such as, pencils, pens and so on. I love to protect them and help them solve problems.
Once, the eraser and the correction tape argued that they were better than the other one. The eraser said that it could correct mistakes made by pencils and it was smaller in size. Then, the correction tape said that it could correct mistakes by pen and it didn't produce any rubbish when it was used to correct. They argued on and on but no one won. So, they came and asked me about this issue. I told them very honestly.
'Actually, I can't tell who is better. Both of you are different and can't be compared. You should understand each other's differences and treat each other kindly. Also, I think you two should think carefully before you act. Like this time, if you thought carefully enough, you wouldn't have to argue.'
The eraser and the correction tape were rather ashamed and realised that they were wrong. Later they became friends and they always remembered what I had told them, remembering my advice – 'always think carefully before you act.'
Although I am getting old, I still seldom make mistakes, not just because I am clever, but also I follow my own rule, 'always think carefully before you act.'
