In a small village, there was a story about Triangle and Circle. Triangle was very arrogant because he was the fastest runner in the village.
One day, Triangle met a circle. Triangle boasted himself and said to Circle,
‘I know that you are a good runner in the village, too. I am thinking of inviting you for a competition tomorrow, what do you think?’
Circle answered, ’Sorry. I don’t want to have any competition with anyone.’
Triangle said’ I am not asking you now because it is an order, I heard
someone say that maybe you can run faster than me, Therefore I have to challenge you. Otherwise, I will ask you every day until you promise me. Of course, I will never give up.’
Lastly, Circle had no choice but to accept Triangle’s invitation and joined the competition.
On the day of the competition, Triangle was full of confidence and said,’ I will be the winner and you will be the loser!
“HA! HA! HA! HE! HE! HE! ’
A few minutes later, the competition started. Although Triangle was running very fast, the circle was faster than him.
Triangle was afraid and said,’ I can’t lose because I am the fastest runner in the village.’
Finally, the competition ended. Everybody was excited about who the winner was and of course, it was Circle.
Triangle felt upset and cried loudly. Circle went to Triangle and comforted him,the process is more important than the outcome, you are a good runner and you could be the winner next time.’
Moral: pride will lead to failure!
