Hi Kelly,

How are you? Christmas is coming. Wish you have a happy new year! We haven’t seen each other for a long while, and I miss you so much. How’s your life in Singapore? Can you meet new friends and get adapted to the new environment and your homestay family? Nevermind, I’ll always bee there to support you.

I have been promoted to F2 for a couple months. The teachers are really nice and the classmates are nice and humorous. I have met some good friends as well, but no one is like you, nice and supportive. I miss you so much. How about you?

In your last letter, you asked me about my reading habits. Guess what? I have read 25 books this year. I am not a fan of Chinese books, but I have still rad 10 Chinese books as well. I mostly read fictions, after dinner time to relax myself. I have just read a book called ’13 Reasons Why’ and you will like it absolutely as you are a big fan of mysterious fictions.

Also, I have just received my UT papers. I did quite well in Chinese History and I got a big improvement in Chinese. I studied Chinese every night after school and asked my father who is a Chinese teacher for help so that I got satisfactory results in Chinese. However, my rank in Science dropped from 8th to 40th because of careless mistakes. I will be more careful when doing the test next time. Therefore, I have set goals for my  studies this year. I hope I can rank the 10th in the whole form and improve my English proficiency. I will study earlier and set a timetable next time and ask questions. I will talk in English with my friends more and read more books to brush up my English proficiency.

My new class in S2 is fun. We have been to Shek O in early November. We had lots of fun memories. We played water bombs and got totally wet. We had barbecue and even played volleyball, We even used water guns to shoot others. We had a fun and thrilling time. Of course, I still remember our great time on Cheung Chau last year. We took many selfies and walked along the shore. It’s so fun and memorable. Bonnie, let’s go to Cheung Chau when you are back to Hong Kong. I really miss your smile and the happy moments with you.

Also, Carmel has a new library. It has two conference rooms for discussing projects and many new bookshelves for storing books. Plus, Carmel has got a new student union. Guess what? They proposed designing a new PE uniform with better quality. I’m looking forward to their new design. Also, we did a lot in the Gospel Week. We listened to the speech of Rev. White on sin. He delivered a good speech and sang hymns together. I have even joined the Gospel Café and discussed sin with our class teacher. I have also joined the Christian fellowship and learnt a lot more on sin. I have rethought what sin was and had a clearer image of sin. I learnt that we should have self-control so that we can avoid sins. I also learnt that Jesus was pinned to the cross because of sin. I really learnt a lot after the Gospel Week.

Singaporeans speaks English and I know you have tried hard to brush up your English proficiency. Don’t worry, as I will always stand by you. Christmas is coming and I will go travelling to Sydney to relax from my busy school life. I may even go to the Christmas gathering with my friends. How about you? Do you have any plans? Take care! I’m looking forward to receiving your letter.

Love,

Jason
