One night, I was awakened by the sound of distant thunder. As I opened my eyes, I was falling into a black hole. I was too frightened so I closed my eyes and yelled out, “Help! Help! Who can help me?”
Suddenly, I felt that I had stopped falling. I opened my eyes again. I was lying on something soft. I thought, “It must be a dream and it’s time to go to school.” I stood on the ground and found out that it wasn’t my house. “Where am I?” I questioned myself. The house was blocky. Square blocks. Even the furniture was blocky too. I walked to a mirror next to the bed.
I saw a blocky boy in the mirror. I looked at my hands. They were blocky too! All the blocky things were just like the things in a video game – Minecraft! I loved to play this game. Now I was in Minecraft! My mind was completely doomed! How could I get out of here? Why did I get here?
In the next moment, I started to calm down myself. I opened the wooden chest in front of the bed, grabbing some blocks and some useful tools, especially my enchanted diamond sword. I wondered around the forest. Then, I saw a village and I rushed to it. A villager came to me and whispered in my right ear. He said, “You must be the Player-that-is-not-a-player.” I was confused. How could a villager talk?
I asked him, “What does it mean? Why did I get here? How can I go back home?” He answered, “Easy, boy.You were punished because of using the computer for too long. In a deep maze under the ground, there is a portal that can let you to go back to the real world you live in.”
“Ok! Thank you very much! I need to go now!” I hurried.
“No! You can’t go there by yourself! There are a lot of monsters down there! We will help you to do that.”
I thought of my best friend John. He always played basketball with me and we had lunch together. Of cource, he played Minecraft with me sometimes. He played it very well. His name in the game was cool. It was “Exculator213” A monster killer. He was always online. I focused my mind and typed “Exculator213” Nothing happened. I tried it again and again. After that, a familiar face stood in front of me. My eyes gleamed. He started talking, “How are you doing, man?”
I quickly explained everything to him. He first thought I was joking but when he noticed I was serious, he believed me. “That’s my best friend!” I said. The villagers reminded me, “We’re ready! Let’s go!” We dug into the deep ground and almost reached the bottom level. We finally found the maze. There were so many doors. We didn’t know which door to go through. Suddenly, a green-faced monster came toward us. I used my precious bow and shot it down.
After a while, the monsters’ sound came closer and closer. We formed a circle and started fighting the monsters. The monsters were mostly coming from one side. I thought the monsters must be protecting the portal. We used blocks to block the other sides and smashed the monsters and went along the road to the portal.
Finally, I saw a lot of monster bricks that spawned out the monsters. We destroyed them and there were no monsters left. We shouted, “Hurray! We finally made it!” I said goodbye to all the villagers and my best friend John. I jumped into the portal. It was just like falling into a black hole again. I closed my eyes.
When I opened my eyed, Isaw the Minecraft game still playing on the computer. I turned it off and laid on the bed. I wouldn’t play computer games for too long again! I didn’t want anyone else to know my amazing adventure so I just pretended nothing had happened and went back to sleep.
