You visited a newly opened amusement park, Fantasy Island, with your family last week. You want to share your experience with your friends on your blog.

Recently, the city was in the midst of excitement about the grand opening of a new amusement park, Fantasy Island.  My family and I were lucky enough to pay a visit on the grand opening day.

The theme park, its location and transport

Fantasy Island is located in Central, next to the Victoria Harbour.  We went to Star Ferry Pier to take the specially designed ferry express.  The colourful ferry decorated with sparkling banners already caught our attention from afar.  We were then led to the seats which were labeled with names of all kinds of fairies and goblins in famous fairytales.  All visitors, including my 7-year-old sister, were fascinated by the lively atmosphere in the ferry express.  The transport system worked smoothly, which really shortened the transport time.

The extraordinary fantasy lands

When we entered Fantasy Island, we felt like we were Charlie visiting the Chocolate Factory.  Fantasy Island is divided into three areas: Land of Happiness, Land of Dreams and Land of Surprises.  There must be some rides that attract you while being mesmerized by the fantasy feeling during the whole time.  First, we had a blissful experience in the Land of Happiness.  There was the ‘Emoji Ride’ where kids could drive their own bumpy cars with different ‘emojis’ aiming at bumping the ones with negative ‘emojis’.  My sister was especially into this ride and we even queued up for four rounds!  Next, we took a dreamy break in the Land of Dreams.  We went straight to the Ferris wheel.  However, this is like no other ordinary Ferris wheel.  This Ferris wheel is made to look exactly like a bed.  The ‘seats’ were covered with rainbow coloured sheets and adorable stuffed toys.  Our family quickly tucked into bed and floated among the fluffy clouds.  The ride was topped up with some merry tunes and the feathery wings soared from under the bed!  The Land of Dreams is definitely a must-go for every visitor.  After all, who doesn’t want to have sweet dreams?  Oh! And here is a dreamy reminder:  any visitors wearing pyjamas could take a free pillow home!  Lastly, we went to the Land of Surprises.  As the name suggests, this place is full of unexpected things.  You may get an extra box of juice for lunch or even get photbombed by a group of playful elves!  My family was lucky enough to join a glow-in-the-dark party in a spacious indoor venue.  We were each given some photoluminescent colour paint to splash each other as messily as we could.  We had a blast inside the wide room filled up with energetic music.

Things I liked about the theme park

Fantasy Island is an imaginary place filled with exciting wonders.  Whether it is the folly Land of Happiness or the Land of Surprises for adventurous visitors, I was totally amazed by the creative ride designs and the detailed touches that added up the fantasy spirit.  The whole fantasy journey was a fantastic and comfortable experience to me and my family.

My least favourite attraction

The fairytale remake for the drama show was a great disappointment to me.  I expected a much more surprising change to the classical fairytale.  But instead, it turned out that it was only an ordinary drama with a splash of colours and lights.  Honestly, the ‘Golden Mickey’ is much better than this drama.

Our visit to Fantasy Island has become a memorable, enchanted memory of me and my family.  I hope you would enjoy the visit as much as I did.
