Dear Patrick,
I’m glad that you’re planning to visit me — oh, alright, Hong Kong.
You don’t have to worry about getting lost in Ocean Park as long as you’ve a few copies of the colourful directories. I have some advice: DO GO TO OCEAN PARK IN THE MORNING, BECAUSE IT WON’T BE TOO CROWDED. Get onto the cable car immediately to the hilltop. I suggest you visit the Sea Jelly Spectacular at first. You can watch the amazing jellyfish dancing around each other in the tank.
WARNING! Stick like a magnet to your parents, because the whole room is designed with mirrors. You never know which way to go as it’s too dark. The reflections from the mirror will cause an illusion which makes you cry. Just think about the painful sensation when bumping into a solid wall!
Besides, I suggest you visit the Atoll Reef. There are thousands of fish swimming in a huge tank. Blowfish, sharks, sea turtles…they aren’t shy, because they are thrilled to be photographed. Just remember, no flashlights in the aquarium. Also you can watch as many shows as you like.
On Saturday, I’ll meet you in the lobby of your hotel at 8:00a.m. Then we’ll take the Peak tram to the Peak. Over there you can go sightseeing for a while. Then we’ll go to a candy shop to have some tricky sweets. The most famous one is the Every-flavour Beans. It’s a pity that the inventor hasn’t get many flavours. Just about 30 weird flavours: bacon, marshmallow, egg, soap, sardine, pepper… and don’t touch the orange bean with red marks. Its flavour is VOMIT, whish really makes you VOMIT!
Around 12 pm, we’ll travel to Mongkok by MTR. We’ll have lunch there in a Chinese restaurant. It’s cheap but it has the quality of a five-star hotel. But I won’t order much food as we’re going to enjoy the food invented in Hong Kong. We’ll have a large cup of bubble tea bought in the street, and fish balls, squid, cuttlefish, and a large block of stale bean-curd—don’t worry, it’s eatable and fantastic! You must dip it into the seafood sauce and enjoy the marvelous feeling…
Well, take care. I’m looking forward to your arrival.
Best wishes,
Chris
P.S. Bring a few plastic bags incase you throw up after the ride in Ocean Park. XD
