Dear Simon,
Hey, buddy! How are you doing?
I 've heard that you've picked up the habit of shoplifting. I am really worried about you. I am writing to you as your friend , not a bla, bla, bla!.I hope you would listen to me.
Stealing things is really a terrible habit. You may think you are only stealing some candies or soft drinks , so it doesn't matter . But my friend, every robber who carry a gun to kill people is a little shoplifter at first. As they steal more and more things , they will try to do something more challenging, for example , sneaking into houses, robbing people…… I am sure you started this habit because of curiosty and you've never thought of becoming an evil criminal, right? But this terrible habit will destroy you when you become addicted. My dear friend , don't let this terrible, horrible habit control you!!!
Do you know what will happen if you are caught shoplifting? The policeman will probably send you to the prison for teenagers. There will be a lot of terrible gangsters who've done a lot of bad things . In my memory, you are a kind-hearted and cheerful boy. If you get into those prisons , I am sure the gangsters will bully you. You don't want that to happen , do you? And the most important point is that once you get caught , they will give you a criminal record which says you’ve stolen things! In the future, when you try to get a job , people may not hire you because of this record. Do you want this kind of curiosity to ruin your life? Your dream is to be a pilot , right? I am sure you don't want to destroy your dream with your own hands. As a friend, I know you are still the 'Ha-ha-Simon' I know and you did this because of curiosity. You can surely get rid of this habit.
If you want to kick this habit away, you can put your smiling photo into your wallet, so every time you open it, you see the happy Simon and it can remind you that this is the real you, not the shoplifting one. I know you love painting. You can spend more time doing this rather than hanging around the stores. I've bought you a set of colouring tools and it was sent with this letter, check it out! It's a 48- colour one. I hope you can develop your painting skills and kick this devil out of your mind!
Simon, you’re always a good listener when I got trouble. Now you are not doing well and as your friend, I will surely be there to support you and talk to you if you find it difficult to get rid of this habit. I love you and you love me. We are a happy family. I’ll always be there grabbing your hand when you fall. I have faith in you . I am sure you can become the 'Ha-ha-Simon' again and terminate this devil!
Love,
Chris
