While I was walking back home, I saw a dirty beggar on the street. I gave him 5 dollars and kept on walking. Suddenly, the beggar grabbed my legs hard, I couldn't move.
“Hey , look! I don't have any money to give you , okay? So just let me go,” I said.
“No, kid. You are the first person to give me money today. I’ve got to do something to thank you,” he said as he stood up.
The beggar turned into a violet fireball and it became so shiny that I couldn't help closing my eyes. Boom!!!! I heard a super loud explosion. I opened my eyes to have a look. Guess what? A weird man wearing a white shiny lab coat, huge glasses which made his eyes looked silly, super big watches on both hands and violet and yellow socks on two feet separately stood in front of me.
“My name is Peggy Alexander. I am a scientist, ' he said.
“How come you’ve got a girl's name?' I wondered.
“Oh! My father thought it's a boy's name, funny huh.”
What a cheerful man he was!
“Not really that funny…why do you have your hair parted in the middle?”
“Oh…It's the newest fashion. Don't you know that? You broccoli! I call those non-fashionable kids broccoli because broccoli is just so ugly, see? But anyway, I woulda lika to givee you thissss.”
He pulled out a little dice from his yellow sock on the left and gave it to me.
“This's my newest invention, chao.” And again…BOOM! The freaky scientist disappeared.
Yeah! What a waste of 5 minutes in my life! I went back home with this stupid useless dice.
On the second day, I went back to school as usual.
“Get the hell out of my way, bighead!” The bully king in the school pushed me to the ground. It didn't hurt but it was just annoying. All of a sudden, the dice in my pocket glowed. I took it out and found some words on the dice: IF I WERE YOU , I WOULDN’T STAND IT.
So that was the function of this stupid dice , telling me to punch up the biggest bully in the school, wow…so cool….
I played with the new dice in the whole day, trying to figure out something new it could do.
While I was sitting on a bench at the playground, I heard an ultra-terrible scream. “There’s girl on the roof!!!!!!” I looked at the sky and saw a girl standing on the roof. She tried to jump off the building!
The dice glowed again. Some golden words appeared on it. HEY, IF YOU WANT TO SAVE THAT GIRL, YOU SAY ‘I AM NOT BROCCOLI.’”
What? I am not gonna say this silly sentence…
DO YOU WANT THE GIRL TO DIE? SAY IT!
Okay! Okay…I am ah…ah….fine ! “I am not broccoli!!!!” The dice spun and glowed so brightly like the sun and it zoomed up into the air and WOO! The dice became a broccoli. What? After these fancy motions and glowing, it turned out to be a broccoli? What an invention!! The broccoli flew towards my mouth and forced me to swallow it. A shiny green armour fell from the top of the sky. The armour opened and covered my body. Clink! Clink! The armour was totally combined with me. A jetpack stretched from my back . The engine of the jetpack lit up. I flew into the sky, zooming to the roof. JACK to the RESCUE!!!!!!!!!!! I zoomed around 50 feet high in the air.
“It 's a bird?”
“It 's a plane?”
“No, it's a boy! It's Broccoliboy!!!”
I stopped zooming and yelled, “Hey, you down there, don't call me that name ,okay? I am Jack, not Broccoliboy.”
I gave everyone a shock. They couldn't imagine a freak like me could turn into such a powerful superhero! Oh no!!! The girl jumped off the roof! I pressed the super-fast button on my left arm and the jetpack lit more powerfully. I zoomed towards the girl and caught her just before she crashed onto the ground. Everybody clapped and cheered. I couldn't imagine being a hero! It was the best day I'd ever had!
After this exciting heroic day, I walked back home as usual. I saw a familiar beggar on the street. After those stupid lights and sounds…BOOM!! Peggy appeared and said, “You look cool, dude!”
