Bottle Imp

The book I would like to share is ‘The Bottle IMP’.  It was about a man whose name was Keawe.  One day, he met an old man and bought the bottle from the old man.  The old man told him the imp in the bottle would do all the things for its owner.

Keawe used it to get a big house and got lots of money.  Then, he sold it quickly because if he didn’t sell the bottle before he died, he would be burnt forever.  Then, he sold it to his friend at a lower price, which was also the rule for selling the bottle.

However, he got a disease that time and he could not marry his lover, Kohua. He bought the bottle again to get rid of the disease and then he could marry Kohua.

Yet, he cried all the day as he thought no one would buy the bottle at less than one cent.  Kohua knew that and she thought of an idea …

Guess what? Keawe came to my school last week.  He came to my school last Monday morning.  He brought along many bottles of wine when he arrived. During the morning assembly, when our principal was speaking on the stage, he suddenly ran up the stage and showed us his bottle. The IMP came out all of a sudden and ran away.  We chased after it along Chung Hau Street, Fat Kwong Street …

Finally, the IMP went to the top floor of the Ho Man Tin Shopping Mall.  We were all chasing the IMP but didn’t pay attention to where we were standing … do you remember?

We kept chasing and did not discover that we had reached the very end of the roof. A large sound of ‘Bang!’ and some ‘Bibubibu…’ sounds were the last thing I could hear …
