An Animal Poem

Animal Body Parts

Thanks to two sharp eyes,
An eagle’s eyes.
I can notice Mum’s fine wrinkles
That remind me of her sleepless nights.

Thanks to a couple of ears,
A bat’s ears.
I can hear the endless love whisper
When Mum waves at the bus stop.

Thanks to a sensitive nose,
A dog’s nose.
I can sniff sweet chocolate cakes
That Mum makes with candy sticks.

Thanks to an active mouth,
A woodpecker’s mouth.
I can dig a passage to share
And kiss Mum to show I care.
