The Best Part of My Job
Have you ever thought of being a reporter? Being a journalist is so special that I can meet people from all walks of life, ranging from the grassroots to billionaires. I also have the golden chance to interview great people and the elites from different fields. It was gladdening that I was once sent to the USA to have an interview with Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook. I am absolutely a die-hard fan of this social platform. It is truly amazing to meet the person that you appreciate, isn’t it? He shared his story of setting up the network with me. His perseverance was so impressive. Being a reporter is not only about a job, but about life-long learning.
The Biggest Challenge I have ever Faced in My Job
A coin has two sides. There are privileges of engaging in this job. However, I have faced many challenges at the same time. The biggest challenge is to work in the places where disasters occur. I worked in the Philippines after the super typhoon, Haiyan swept it. The place was greatly damaged. However hard the job was, I had to stay in my position professionally. People lost their beloved ones and they cried hysterically. These scenes hurt my heart. Despite my tear-filled eyes and broken heart, I had to stay calm whenever the camera was rolling.
My School Days
Since I was in secondary school, I had hoped to be a reporter. In order to make my dream come true, I tried to brush up my presentation skills. I joined the speech festival every year. I also participated in various presentations so as to be confident and articulate. Apart from getting involved in the events just mentioned, I also read aloud the newspaper, pretending to be an anchor. I also paid heed to the daily news. My aspiration to be a news reporter was then nurtured.
Dream Big
What is your dream? A policeman or even a singer? Nothing is impossible as long as you dare to dream. Making efforts and being tenacious are of paramount importance. There are yet always obstacles on the way to your pursuit. Never lose faith and be eager to prepare well for your future. Keep your heart burning!
