The best part of my job

Some people consider my job boring and dull as they often see me on the TV screen reading out incidents happened with an awkward facial expression and a serious tone. However, I actually regard this as the best part of my job. Playing the role of a messenger and reporting news to the public accurately has become my favourite daily mission. The script read out by me could completely change people’s lives and I enjoy reminding, helping and inspiring people by simply giving out first-hand information on the screen. After acknowledging the political instability of other countries through my report, people could avoid travelling there and minimize the chances of getting hurt. Being a crucial messenger is the best part of my job.

The biggest challenge I have ever faced in my job

In most scenarios, my job is simple and involves not much hard work. However, there are always exceptions in life. The biggest challenge I have ever faced in my job is definitely the time when I had to report beside the shore when typhoon signal number 8 was hoisted. My script was blown away by the howling wind and my face was covered with newspaper and a plastic bag. The wave kept punching me while the raindrops were attacking me from above like arrows. I could hardly open my eyes and the heavy raindrops kept shooting into my mouth when I struggled to speak. It rained cats and dogs and I was soaked into water from head to toe. Having experienced such an enormous challenge, I never consider any jobs as difficult.

  My school days

I was a typical school girl and I had never dreamt of being a successful reporter when I was in secondary school. I still remember how fearful I was and I didn’t even have the courage to speak in front of my classmates while making an individual presentation in one of the lessons. But now, I am telling you firmly that everything can change if you want to. I started training my oral skills since form four by reading newspapers out loudly every single day with the help of my English teacher. I am really grateful as my secondary school life helps pave the way to my success career.

                                                                    Speak out loud

Speak out loud. Let the whole world hear you. No matter how crazy your dream is, just dare to try and never back off because of the obstacles that may appear in the future. Speaking confidently like I do and tell people that you are determined to achieve your goal.
