Walking in the rain

My steps became quicker and quicker as the sky was getting dull and cloudy. The sky soon turned into layers of thick and unapproachable mist, occupying the darkening sky and descending to the infinite horizon. Suddenly, lightning dragged through the bleak sky, just like a white sharp fang shearing its prey apart. Then the distant thunder crashed and roared. It growled so fiercely that it intimidated all creatures.

The lashing rain started to pour from the inky sky. The rain was thousands of needles which slashed on my head and clothes constantly. As the rain projected irregularly in the howling, it brought me the feeling of void. “Tap tap.” I was dripping wet. The droplets were dripping off my hands, my jaw and my hair while I was tiptoeing towards a pavilion. The pedestrians were grumbling and finding shelter in haste while the gale was playing tricks on them. It tore people’s umbrellas and tugged off their blazes naughtily.

The rain had no sign to rest. Instead, it was increasingly intensive and devastating. The trees were dancing because of the tickle of the wind. The falling leaves levitated and fluttered like butterflies in the stormy air. The sparrow clung to the branches as hard as a player lifting a weight. The plaques of shops could not withstand the strength of the wind so they shook significantly. The storm was a flock of goblins which were having a great parade with the help of the marvelous rain and the beaming thunder. They intended to destroy all the things indiscriminately.

I zipped up my jacket and left the pavilion. I seemed to be targeted by the wind. It was fond of blocking my way and blowing me up. In front of me, there was an invisible barrier with stingy quills. Every time I tried to pass through it, I felt bitterly chilled and dizzy.

After a while, the rain was getting moderate and less threatening. It was like having a shower in my own bathroom. The passers-by stared at the glittering sky and continued to walk on their way. My trousers had already become soaked but the sun no longer hid itself. There was a smiley face formed by the sweet and white clouds.
