Dear editor,
I am writing to show my support for the small-class- teaching policy.
Nowadays, a lot of tutorial classes are promoting small-class teaching. The less students in a class, the more expensive the class is. This shows that small-class teaching is really costly. But I think small-class teaching should be promoted in public schools.
First, small-class teaching can reduce teachers’ pressure. As the teacher-student ratio drops, there are less assignments and quizzes for teachers to mark. Teachers in public schools have tonnes of work to do. Some of them even need to do their work every night at home. They do not have enough time to sleep and do exercise. It is bad for their physical and mental health. Small-class teaching can surely relieve their pressure and improve their teaching.
Moreover, teachers can give special care to students because they will have a less heavy burden of marking. When there are some problems in class, such as bullying, teachers can deal with them more properly. Therefore, students will have a whole- person development. Also, for some students who have poor academic results, teachers can give them more help and support. Small-class teaching can surely benefit students.
Furthermore, students will be the pillars of our future society. If students are more educated, they will absolutely benefit society. In conclusion, it is worth investing in education. It can help our society in different ways. So I think small-class teaching should be promoted.
Yours faithfully,
