When you are reading the newspaper or viewing the photos on Facebook, will you feel upset because of the increasing number of animal abuse cases? In recent years, the number of animal abuse cases is on the rise. Some of the irresponsible pet owners did not think twice before owning a pet which is a life-long commitment. There are many injured strays in the streets and the owners hit them. Not only the pet owners, but the public should also be responsible for this problem. All of us should support the cause of animal protection.
Being a pet owner, you should take good care of your pets. It is not difficult to see the owners leave the pets alone. Pets are just like humans. They need emotional support and they are eager to seek care and love from their owners. For me, I have adopted a pet called ‘Creamy’. Whenever I get back home, it will follow me and would like me to give it a hug. Don’t take advantage of pets when something lets you down! Be considerate! Pet owners should spend time strolling with pets and accompanying them. Moreover, it is sad to know that some pet owners make pets starve to death. Pet owners should be thoughtful as they need to help pets stay healthy. For example, owners should feed their pets on time and help their pets do body check regularly. All pet owners should be considerate and responsible.
However, the number of animal abuse cases keeps increasing. ’Please help! I am in pain!’ a pet yelled. Have you ever imagined how brutal the pet owner is? If you were the pet, how would you feel? It is common to see pet owners hit their pets and injured strays roam the streets. Injured pets experience physical and emotional harm. Recently, we have heard from the news that many pet owners hit their pets. It is an inhumane action. Seeing the bloody bodies of pets, we feel discontented and upset. Therefore, please stay calm and vow to be responsible!
The public cannot turn a blind eye to animal protection. Both the irresponsible pet owners and the public should be responsible for the animal abuse problems.
Our organization- the SPCA is responsible for protecting the strays. Yet we have not got enough budget to provide a better environment for strays to live in. Therefore, you could be our volunteer and donate money to support animal care. Your money can be used to buy food and large cages. Furthermore, you can be a volunteer and visit our pets. As I have said, animals need emotional support. Strays are pitiful. You can be a volunteer to play with them and accompany them.
Be considerate when you decide to adopt a pet. You should think twice before you act. You need to think about the cost of owning a pet, your eagerness to look after a pet, your ability and so on. You could adopt a pet from our centre, rather than buying one from a pet shop.
To conclude, it is vital for pet owners to be considerate and the public to support animal protection. These are ways to right what is wrong.
