I would like to suggest the following kinds of programmes for Teen TV:
1. Game show
I would like to suggest a hilarious game show to Teen TV because of the following reasons: most of the teenagers bear heavy school work and test burden. The 334 scheme for new senior secondary education also adds loads on some of the teenagers because they have to get used to the new format of examination. As a result, they may have strong pressure from studies and it affects their mental or physical health. A nice idea for reducing their stress is to watch a funny game show which could invite some famous artists to play comical games for entertaining the teenagers. ‘The Super Trio Show” is a good example of it.
2. Drama
A teen drama which focuses on the teenage characters could be introduced to Teen TV. The teenagers have reached puberty. They start to have independent intention and they are full of curiosity. Nevertheless, they may learn something bad from surrounding sophisticated environment because they are still simple-minded. They require a right guidance and education. A good example of the teen drama is ‘Gossip Girl’, in which the young characters deal with upward and downward of their friendships, solve the problems with parents and decide to have sex or take drugs or not. It is educational and the drama could help them resist the lure of easy money or overcome difficulties. It has many exciting plots as well. The teenagers must have interest in it.
3. Travel programme
Besides drama, I recommend that Teen TV could broadcast a travel programme which could help the teenagers become well-informed and knowledgeable, such as the Korean TV programme ‘Post-80s travel around the world’, in which the hosts (travellers) need to find an inn by themselves and plan how to reduce the travel expenditure in each country. Apart from learning about different cultures, teenagers could learn how to solve the difficulties while travelling and manage the money well.
