I believe that everybody has their fears. You might be afraid of an insect, an animal, a person, or an incident. And in this article, I’m going to tell you what my fear is
My fear is procrastination. It might not seem scary at first glance since it’s just delaying some critical work and things you must do, but what is alarming is the result of procrastinating.
I’ve always had a habit of procrastinating. Before doing my work, I’d play games, watch cartoons, and lay around lazily like a sloth… There’s just some kind of urge in my head that wants to play instead of doing the tedious work.
Due to this, I’d always start doing my work around 4 in the afternoon. When there isn’t much homework, I would still have plenty of time to read some books and do some housework. However, when there is lots of homework, or the homework is to write a passage, things start to get desperate. I’d have little time to finish all the homework, and I’d have to stay up late to finish them, which then my parents would scold me for that.
Since this procrastination is ruining me, I devised a plan to fight it. First, time management planning is essential. I’d make a to-do list daily and then try to finish it as efficiently as possible. This would be a good plan until I get lazy and start to procrastinate again and abandon my list. Therefore, I would try to invite one of my parents to come and look after me while I do my work so I’d finish it twice as fast as when they aren’t there.
For now, I’ve started gaining control over my mind, and the problem of procrastinating has been limited to only a small scale. (I’m sure for this regular writing, you weren’t expecting me to write this, but when I procrastinate, the results are terrifying, and I don’t want it to happen.) If you have the same problem as me, you can try using this method (not the parenting method. It’s impossible) to help you.
