It was a lovely morning of June. The sun was shining warmly on my face and birds were singing. “Good morning, Serene!” I tried to speak to myself but soon I found that something was unusual: I could not speak!
What I heard was just a sound of ‘meow’. I was frightened and climbed onto my table. I looked into the mirror but I could only see the image of a kitten, with snowy white fur and cool blue eyes! I hoped that it was only a dream so I tried to pull my tail. Unfortunately, it was painful and it showed that I was not dreaming. I had really turned into a kitten. What should I do?
I started crying and wondered: would I be able to attend school today? Of course not! Why? Because I had changed into a kitten! I was absolutely sure that no one would accept such a ridiculous reason and they might think it was just an excuse of a late-for-school student. I prayed and hoped the Lord would help change me back into a human.
I looked at the clock and it was already 8 a.m. I rushed to the ground floor to get help from my family. However, I was too careless. Suddenly, I lost my balance and fell down the steps. “Ouch! What’s wrong with my cerebellum?!” And I touched my head softly. Something amazing happened – I had already changed back into a normal person! My prayer had been answered!
I couldn’t control myself and I yelled. I realized that I was in a hurry to school so I changed my school uniform as quickly as I could. However, when I arrived at school, it was already 8:30 a.m.
“Serene Ching from 2C,”asked by the teacher, “Why are you late for school?”
“Err…” What could I say? Should I tell her that I was changed into a kitten?
