I have found a place. That is a new and wonderful place. It is just near our school. We only take about 3 minutes’walk to arrive there. It was not there last year. It is near the Oi Man Plaza and beside the Wellcome Supermarket. Usually, students from different schools who have just left school will go there and buy some drinks.
This place is very small. There are not any seats for us to sit but only a small counter with a few workers. I can see some machines and containers for making drinks placed on the shelves. There are also some lists with different names of drinks stuck on the cupboard, such as green iced tea. However, this place only sells drinks but not any other food items. The drinks are not so expensive. They’re around $8-10 each cup.
The customers－most of them are the students from our school and SKH Holy Trinity Church Secondary School－ have to stand in front of the counter and order the drinks they want. Then, the workers start to work. ‘Kwok- kwok…’ ‘Ching- ching…’ The shaking sounds of the ice and drinks come out. I can also hear the noises of the students chatting. ‘So cool! ’ ‘Yummy!’
Just in a very short time, I can smell the sweet smell of milk! Then I will drink my cup of tea. I can taste the freshness of the cold, sweet ice tea. I can also chew the chewy little balls in the iced tea. Oh! It is so fantastic!
