How are you? It’s nice to meet you this year. My name is Chris Wong. You can call me Chris.
I’d like to introduce myself to you, my new English teacher, by using a cartoon character, Joy. Joy is a character of the movie ‘Inside Out’. It’s a 2015 American 3D computer-animated comedy-drama adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. She is one of manifestations of Riley within her mind. She acts as the dominant emotion to keep Riley in a happy state. I think I’m similar to Joy as I also keep myself in a hopeful and cheerful mode. When I’m in trouble, I’ll keep myself in a happy state and comfort myself. When I have things to worry about, I’ll usually be optimistic and tell myself that I can finish the things that I worry about ultimately. If I fail any subject in the exam, I’ll encourage myself and promise that I’ll do well the next time.
I’d like to introduce a movie for you to relax your stressful teacher’s life. I’d like to introduce the movie ‘Little Big Master’. Its plot is based on a true story which happened in Hong Kong. Ms Lui Wai-hung is the principal of an international kindergarten. Because of the distorted education system, she quits her high-paying job. One day, she reads a news report which is about Yuen Tin Kindergarten, in which there are only five students left and the school is on the verge of closure. Due to the financial difficulty of the school, it can just afford to hire a principal and staff by using $4500. She applies for the job and hopes to help the five children transfer to another school. There are many problems occurring to the students, such as not having enough money to pay for the nanny car. However, at last, she solves all problems with her loving and caring heart. She also helps the school to recruit new students. It’s a good and touching movie for us to watch.
I hope you can know more about me and my classmates in the months to come. I also hope that you can take a break in your hectic work life and enjoy the meaningful movie I introduce to you.
