Dear Chris,
How’re you doing? We’ve not seen each other since we got into the secondary schools. How’s your school life?
After studying in Carmel Secondary School for one year, I’ve changed a lot. In the past, I went to the library with you and Johnny every day; however, I go to the playground to play volleyball or basketball now. I go to the library just once every two weeks. Although I’ve spent less time on reading, I make more friends and improve my basketball and volleyball skills. I am quite happy and pleased with my change.
Apart from this change, I’ve changed my sleeping hours: from nine hours to seven hours. While I was in primary school, I slept at 9 p.m. However, I sleep at 11 p.m. now. I hate this change, but I cannot choose the time because there are lots of subjects for me to learn and I need to finish homework and study till 11 p.m. every day. Sometimes, although I am in bed, I still cannot sleep because I’ve got lots of pressure. I really want to get back to the enjoyable school life in primary school.
Besides, I’ve become an absent-minded person. While we’re in primary school, you and I never forgot any homework or books. I forget my books and homework at least once a month now. I need to go to the Detention Class. I hate this change. I do not want to be an absent-minded person. Now, I write down notes in my handbook and pack my schoolbag very carefully to prevent from being sent to the Detention Class. I hope that I can maintain a “clear record” again next year.
Mum is calling me for dinner. Talk to you soon.
Best wishes,
Pat
PS I also send you some photos of my F1 school life.
