I am a calm person and there are not many exciting moments in my life. Yet, there was a really exciting moment that I could never forget.
It was in the early August of 2003.My parents, my brother and I were having a trip to Singapore. We woke up at six o’clock in the morning. We prepared everything and checked our luggage to make sure that we got ready. Then, we left home and reached the airport at 7:15 a.m.
After the check-in procedure, it was 7:25 a.m. We had to get on the plane at eight o’clock. There was still much time left. We walked around the airport and ate some snacks for breakfast. At 7:40 am, we went into the gate and started to walk to the waiting room. Everything seemed to be perfect.
Suddenly, we heard an announcement, ‘The flight number xxx, from Hong Kong to Singapore will be departing in five minutes.” Father’s face turned white. He took out our tickets and read them again. “What? Our plane will leave at 7:45 a.m., not eight o’clock!!” He shouted! Then, we started to run to the plane from one side of the airport to the other side, which was very far away!
Luckily, we arrived in time. A hostess was standing there. She smiled and said, “You’re really lucky, just in time!” When we got on the plane, we were all sweating.
On the plane, I told my mother, “It’s so exciting! I believe that it won’t be a boring trip!!” We all laughed.
