If I had superpower, what would I do? This is a question that I have been pondering since the first time I saw the movie The Amazing Spiderman. What would I do if I got bitten by a radioactive spider and gained supernatural power?
Erm… If I had superpower, I would save the world. I would fight against supervillains and help to save the innocent. In superheroes’ world, there are a lot of villains who hurt innocent people. However, in my world, who are the villains? Maybe they are robbers and thieves who take away people’s property, or even lives. They do not pity people. They take away people’s treasured property and precious lives mercilessly. So, they are the supervillains in my world, right?
However, when I think deeper, I find that this may not be their fault. If they had had the things that they wanted, like money, power, popularity, etc., which rich people can have without any bit of effort, they would not have done the same thing. Some of them are only doing illegal things to earn a living. Maybe, after all, this is not their fault. Somehow, I actually pity them.
Maybe, it is the world’s fault. The wealthy are always so important and priceless in the eyes of the world. The poor are always so unimportant and worthless in the eyes of the world.
If I had superpower, I would help the poor people. Maybe this would stop them from becoming supervillains. They would not become pitiless, depraved robbers and thieves. They might eventually be able to live happily ever after as poor people.
Unluckily, I was not born with superpower. I do not have the ability to fly, or to lift up a rock with a weight of one ton. I was NOT born with superpower.
Yet, I still get to help the poor. Maybe, just maybe, I still get to save the world by stopping the “villains” from becoming wicked.
Let’s be realistic. No one has, or will ever have superpower in the world. Yet, we can still fight against the dark force. Don’t hesitate. Do your part. Help the poor people. Please, do not let them become supervillains. Every single life is worth saving. We may not be super. But we can still do something super!
