Good afternoon,F.3 schoolmates,
I am an academic leader, Sophia Chan. Have you adapted to the new F.3 learning life? It is very different from that of Forms 1 and 2. Do you feel nervous and confused about your school life in F.3? Don’t be afraid! I was once a F.3 student and I know it is hard to handle ten subjects well. But now,I am going to share my tips on how to study smart and handle the subjects well.
The first tip for all of you is that you have to go home and do revision. When you were in Forms 1 and 2,you might not need to do much revision because those things learnt from lessons are quite easy. However,now you are in Form.3. What you learnt are much more difficult. It is possible for you to forget what you have learnt after the lessons. Especially for the science subjects like Physics,Biology and Chemistry. There are only two lessons each in one cycle. If you do not do revision at home,it is hard for you to follow the lessons since you may forget what you have learnt in the last lesson. Doing revision does not waste your time. It just takes you two hours everyday and you can handle the subjects well. Doing revision is just a simple and important way to study smart.
Do you have a habit of making notes for yourselves? It is also an efficient way of learning. There are too many words in the textbooks for F.3 students. Do you feel dizzy when you look at your textbooks? Don’t worry,making notes can help you to organize what you have learnt from textbooks. If you have a habit of making notes for yourselves,when you have revision in the next time,you can refer to the notes that you made. It is much more convenient for you to do revision with your notes,especially before the final exam. You have ten subjects to study before the final exam and this will be a heavy burden for you. So why don’t you make notes for yourselves so that you can do revision efficiently?
Last but not least,you have to ask you teachers if you do not understand what you have learnt. In Forms 1 and 2,you may be able to handle all subjects by reading you textbooks. However, in F.3,you may not even understand what the textbook is talking about. Don’t ignore it! You must remember to ask your teachers in the next day. Your teachers will always answer your questions! You can also ask the academic leaders in the school when teachers are busy. We are very pleased to help all of you. It is not the tine for you to be shy so let’s try to seek help from others.
Even though the tips I share with you are so useful,if you do not have a desire of success,you cannot study well. F.3 learning life is so important and challenging to all of you. As a result,I suggest setting a goal for yourselves,no matter if it is a big goal or small goal. You will need a goal to support you in the whole year. Please remember,no pain,no gain. If you follow my tips and study hard,you will find that all things are not so difficult. Thank you.
