A Cry from Moon Bear Cynthia

I am an Asiatic black bear;
My name is Cynthia.
Please stop the murder,
And listen to my prayer.

I am locked up in a crush cage,
There is hardly any space.
Moving or standing I’m not destined;
My muscles don’t work my legs I can’t raise
What is left for me is hate.

You cut open my stomach and gall bladder;
You stabbed in something tubular;
You said it will be there forever.
You extract money litre by litre
While my skin burns like fire.

Bear bile you obtain
And money you gain;
Your act causes me pain,
making me insane.

Till when should I suffer?
I try to give my wound a tear,
I want to die in a cheer,
But your iron vest adds to the torture.
Why don’t you kill like Hitler,
Just let me sleep forever?

Four hundred and seventy of us have lost faith.
We can never escape,
We are dying in a daze.

We are all waiting for a saviour,
Not only we bears but also others.
Dolphins are twitching in blood-red water;
Bulls are bleeding before roaring spectators;
Whales with minced organs are floating on the sea for hours;
Sharks without fins are suffocating under trawlers.

Stop buying my bile juice.
Stop drinking shark fin soups.
Don’t pay to bullfight groups.
Don’t eat any more bloody seafood.
Do something really for our good.

We are breathing the same air;
No one should be a killer,
No one should disappear.
