Dear Mrs. Wong,
Are you busy with your work? I am writing to share my feelings about my secondary school life with you.
I feel excited to study in Carmel because this is my first choice. I have dreamt of studying in this school since Primary Five. Now I realize that this is absolutely a right choice. I am proud to be the financial secretary of my class. The activities in the student fellowship are funny.
However, since everything at school is new to me, I have some pressure in studies. There are a lot of subjects which I have never learnt in primary school, such as History and Geography. I come across a lot of new concepts. Besides, most of the subjects are taught in English. I have to spend a lot of time to find out the meanings of the vocabulary items.
Luckily, I am fully supported by my parents. They taught me some of the contents of the new subjects during the summer holidays so that it is easier for me to catch up on the curriculum. Every night, they listen to my experience at school. I can share my anxiety with them. I feel much relaxed then.
In order to adapt myself to a new learning environment more easily, I will do more lesson preparation. I will also join more activities so that I can make more friends with other schoolmates. I think the experience of the upper form students is useful to me.
I am looking forward to a fruitful year in Carmel.
Yours sincerely,
Tiffany Mai
